Dear Iris and Wolfram,
I hope you both have been doing well over the past month. I wanted to thank you for hosting both me and Lukas for a week at your house in Dundee. While the location of your place was truly beautiful, It was your company and conversation that made our time in Nova Scotia so memorable.
Over the past couple weeks, I have been doing my best to show Lukas around New York. It has really been a pleasant experience guiding him around the city. He stops in amazement to marvel at things I am so used to seeing that I simply forget that they are there. Whether it's biking past the Empire State Building or taking the ferry, Lukas's childlike wonder always reminds me to remember how fortunate I am to live in New York.
I am currently working on editing the photos I had taken during my trip to Canada and would love to forward you the rest of my shots once I am done editing them. I noticed that some of my photos are on your website (and some photos of me and Lukas big grin ) and I am truly honored at the fact that you posted them. Though many places in Canada were truly beautiful, none of them could hold a candle to the night sky gleaming with stars on Old Black River Road.
I hope to keep in touch with both of you and hope you have an easy first Canadian Winter. Once again, thank you for everything.
Best,
Merrick
